Default My new little beauty - Firefrost ZT 190 SE

I am pleased to be the proud owner of this little beauty...

Bit of a spur of the moment purchase really, I was already the owner of a ZT190 but having clutch failure weighed up cost of repairs vs buying another car. I couldn't really see what I was looking for at the time (fancied a series 2 with at least the same spec as mine - Xenons etc) so ended up getting the clutch done on my current car but was still casually looking...

Then I happened to see this car advertised, one of the colours I loved and being SE spec had the extra bits including the Harmon and Kardon stereo, so I was sold. I didn't realise quite how rare these SE cars were. It had a lot of the details attended to as well and a history file.

It drove faultless on the 200 mile trip home.

It didn't really need anything doing but I have already carried out some more improvements, including fitting twin horns, fitted carpeted heater panels, new indicators and sill tread. It doesn't quite have everything on the SE pack but I can live without memory seats and rear blind but I have bought a set of power fold mirrors to fit at some point.

It does still have the usual issues of corrosion on brake pipes, so will look at these in the future, along with painting and rust proofing the sub frames and suspension arms which are in solid condition.

I was surprised to find there there were only 11 Firefrost SEs produced, not sure how many there still are.

Funny how the colour makes such a difference, i'm sure I remember seeing a Copperleaf Mk1 and thought it looked lovely - not sure if it was standard. I used to own a 218VVC coupe in Amaranth (Purple), shame they never did a ZT in that colour.
