Default Casualty

Only just got back from the hospital 7 hour wait Jesus Christ I was dying of boredom, But least My grand mother okay, She took a nasty fall and opened up a wound on her head.
Took her in and got the wound cleaned and stitched up so it heals closed.

She'll make a full recovery in no time, she was lucky not too pass out, So glad we installed that panic system now.

I hammered my dad's car too get too the hospital.
Only too wait for 7 hours too get it done.

This is the sad state and reality of the NHS these day's Dave. Not the doctor's or nurse's fault though, they do their very best on the resources that are available .

One weekend I dropped the lid of one of those plastic garden bunkers on my finger. The following day, Monday, the finger was purple and I couldn't bend it. I went in to work, spoke to my boss, did what I had to do then went to A&E. Bear in mind this was lunchtime on a Monday, I was there for five hours! Finger was just badly bruised, nothing broken.

Glad all is ok and she is on the road to recovery.
When I had my heart attack ( did not know I was having one at the time) in Norway my friends dropped me by the main door and by the time they had parked the car and come to the waiting room I was already being seen.

Pleased to hear you Gran is ok Dave, annoying about the state of the NHS but, like said, not the fault of the doctors or nurses.........silk purses out of pig's ears

My mum has one of those wearable alarm button things.......invaluable and give my mum and myself peace of mind.

Mine has one too Paul, it rings a central number, then they ring next of kin, my aunt just lives up the road from her, about 5 mins. I’m 15 miles away, so I’m second point of call.

Hiya all My nan is getting better now and on the road too recovery.

The NHS are really over stretched and under staffed.
But there doing well despite the odds.

It took a long time and even my mother and myself were having a go at each other.

Main thing is she's safe and well.
