You can eat pumpkin too! I've oven baked the seeds in some oil......which were rotten tbh, but the flesh cut into chunks and roasted with some rosemary or even fresh lemon is delicious

And my darlings couldn't carve a turnip. And I have my perfectly manicured nails to consider too

I tried carving up a pumpkin to cook the flesh. Never again as tough as old boots and very time consuming.

my advice would be to separate the seeds into one bowl then put the flesh into another and then chuck both in the bin and cook something edible!

Get Kev to do it. Turnip and pumpkin? yeuch!!! Will be blocking the drive on Tuesday thats for sure. Halloween isn't what it was when I was a kid, its become just a money grabbing scheme, and turned very sinister nowadays.

Well I'm nearly ready for the big day, all I have left to do is wire the doorbell up to the mains on Tuesday afternoon.

Samhain, the Pagan Feast of the Dead or Celtic New Year is on the night of 31st Oct - 1st Nov. Also recognised as the end of harvest and start of winter.

I guess that wouldn't sell much of the supermarket's merchandise though.
