I remember sitting in a 75 shortly after the launch in Finland, must have been summer of '99? Thought it was a nice car but didn't think that much of it then. A couple of years later it struck me what a good looking car the 75 is and I thought maybe I could have one of those someday.
In 2006 I needed to retire my old XM and at the local Toyota dealership they had a '99 1,8 Club. I went and had a look (and a test drive) and really liked it - but not that particular car. At the time I had never seen a Tourer but started trawling the ads in Sweden, where I knew they had been sold in some numbers. Found one with mileage on the high-ish side (140,000 kms) but nice spec (V6 Conn SE) and very good price. Bought it on the phone, unseen! Flew over two weeks later to collect it. Haven't regretted it!

I can't remember the first time I saw one specifically but I have always admired the looks of them.
And then in 2006 I needed a new car and was looking at Vectra's & Mondeo's and clocked my car. The rest is now history |

I remember drooling over the ads at launch. A neighbour has had one for years, but I never thought I would be able to afford a luxury car. One came up for sale at work, I investigated, and was smitten

I was Midsommer Murders that got me, I remember when Barnaby changed from his Rover 800 to a lovely T reg Black 75 with serpents reg T277 MOA, then a succession of 75's through the 2000-2004 ending with the facelifted BX04 WMC with meteors until MGRover went under.
