Gorgeous day here today, been making things shiny ready for my engine going back together & as you always do when the paint is in the gun, I’ve forgotten to prep a couple of brackets

Beautiful and hot day here.

But started badly when the laptop slipped, landed on the carpet and has totally destroyed the screen.

Using SWMBO's for this..... Schhhhhhh

Andy.

Any evidence of it leaking? Our Russell Hobbs leaked within ~ 18 months of purchase from new. I had decided to replace it when something caught my eye and I set about fixing it. I expect the leak will appear again for the exact same reason at some time in the future, it is a flaw in the design of the sight glass to me but no doubt someone at RH thought it a good idea at the time ... and probably still does and always will. Until, that is, firms begin again to employ people for what they have in their heads and not just the paper qualifications they can present in their hands.

Evening all, been a glorious hit day here, shame I wasn’t up to enjoying it this morning. I had a terrible night’s sleep, dropped off pretty soon after going to bed but woke up a short time later with terrible acid reflux. Got up and had a glass of milk which usually works for me, but even that didn’t cure it. Also it was quite hot last night and as a result of all the above I didn’t get a lot of sleep. I had to get up and go out to the van for a Rennie tablet at 5 am.

To be honest, it was getting on a bit in years. In addition to the usual on/off switch it had a second control for temperature - you could set it to switch off BEFORE it reached boiling point, the argument being that you don't need absolute boiling water to make coffee for example.
As it happens, the new one is a Russell Hobbs - complete with a THREE year warranty.
