the weird thing is the symptoms on the virus seem so varied for each person.
A lot of people seem to have none or slight cold type symptoms and some dont even know they have it whilst others appear get it pretty bad. Seems most of the deaths over here are either elderly or people with pre existing health issues. The govt here is talking about this situation being our lives for at least 6 months which i find incredible !! See alot of our grey nomads (retired oldies) getting in their caravans and heading to our north where the weather is still hot. Our issue here will be were about to go into our winter so that wont be helpful. Virus dosnt like anything much over 32c on exterior surfaces and dosnt last long in those conditions from what i hear. |

Thats the way it is here also. No toilet rolls, no milk, no bread, no eggs. Talking to a young couple yesterday while shopping, and they were saying they can not get baby food, nappies and toilet rolls and wipes for the little baby they had with them. Talk about nut cases. Where are they storing it all? And today we learnt that our granddaughter returned from Vietnam yesterday after going on a tour round the world after university, and has a cough so is having to go into self isolation for 14 days. What you say David, this is a many faceted occurrence. To many scenarios to mention here, but it is a good way of waging a war without waging a conventional war. Well up until know, I and my wife seem to be ok, and I am afraid I will still be doing what I normally do. If I stayed in I would be climbing the walls, so am going on with life as normal. Just an aside:- I wonder how many people are going to ‘think’ themselves into this virus thingy? The mind is a strange thing. Oh, that brings us back to the start.

Is this some sick way to tackle climate change?
Invent a world pandemic to kill off part of the population to save the planet, as they realise the doom of electric vehicles will not be the answer? |

How many people are killed in road accidents~? Should we all just sit in our cars and not drive them...just in case? Can't say I'm convinced by the media hype but then again I do suffer from skepticemia! Turns out the doc in China was letting his colleagues know about this virus (covid19) and how his patients were affected and advising them as to how to protect themselves. The Chicoms promptly coerced him into silence and forced him to state that he was spreading mis-information. He was visited by police at night......So then he dies of the virus???? Seems the Chicoms didn't want news of this spilling out and spoiling their attempts to set a record for meals dished up to the millions celebrating the Chinese New Year and neither did they want the world to know there was a problem as their economy might melt down. And so millions departing Wuhan after the celebrations going who knows where and taking this virus with them. Blame it on their eating habits? well if they had just started doing what the media have us believe then maybe. But they have been doing this for eons so why has it taken so long for this virus to develop? Wonder who's laboratory came up with this one? |

I got sick of hearing about Prince Andrew's shinanagans, Andrew this, Andrew did that, then it was Brexit, Brexit, Brexit and now Coronavirus! Are they working through the alphabet for goodness sake? Change the channel! Oh, I did and it's on every one. Is there no good news? Even the missus is shouting at the telly. I've named her Victoria Meldrew!

I understand, however its called suspended disbelief ! go back a few years to the bird flu epidemic and that killed many more people than Covid 19, did we have the following
Bird flu killed more and none of the above was implemented why?? lets look at today, its all of the above plus world wide market crash and Big governments are Borrowing on a Huge scale to keep the system afloat. Basically all nations are locked into their own countries and can't leave under the safety banner why is that, when we know 69,000 Brits have had covid 19 and fully recovered and only 00.01% die from the covid 19 illness, how come it needs an iron fist to stop it spreading then?? It appears two things are happening here, firstly this illness is a real nasty one or it all a pack of lies jacked up lies to another good reason, well if Bird flu killed more a few years back and none of the above was taken, then why is this heavy handedness taking place now, and it is not COVID 19 as the reason its something were not being told, its call suspended disbelief and we believe just like the rest of the world what were being broadcasted and the authorities know it, however if you step outside and use the senses were given you can smell a rat, theres no doubt theres a severe cold illness running around but is it a global killer as suggested NO! 8 billion of us and only 6000 dead ummmm |

6.30am. Large ASDA store in Bradford. Car Park full waiting for store to open!!! Utter madness. Local corner shops have served me well, have most things, limited choice but I'd rather put my money in a local pocket. No discipline from the supermarkets either, seem quite happy to have shelves emptied daily. Must be raking it in at the moment.

Might this be the time to give serious thought to positively supporting those small (specialist) suppliers who give great service at maybe an odd few ££'s more expensive if we don't want them and their knowledge/expertise/help & support to disappear forever? Andy. |
