It's not really possible to know without carrying out thorough testing.
A few points that may help are: 1. ECP only purchased the Croslad name, not the technology. So it's fairly safe to assume that they are fairly generic filters with the famous name printed on the boxes. 2. They are very cheap. Personally, I only use OEM or filters from the likes of Mahle, Mann & Hummel i.e. well established filter manufacturers. Last edited by MSS; 9th May 2018 at 06:30.. |

Fitted my ECP filter my MG ZTT 190. Fitted fine.
But I was cheap and on a deal with their own oil it was only £21 for 6 litres and filter, although no oil plug washer. I could not see for sure, but there was a spring, so I assume it had a valve? Regards Barry |

Crossland filters are ok, we use them in our machinery at work too and that gets worked a lot harder than any mgr I have seen!

This is going back quite a few years . I asked our Product Engineering Department about the Quality of Filters by Manufacturer. Their records showed that Crossland were the best - I've been using them on all my DIY since without any problems. I would think that in this day and age most Filters would be similar, well, within a certain tolerance.
Hope that helps. John |

I've used Crosland filters on and off for years with no issues whatsoever. Currently had one fitted on our Aygo for a year which came cheap from ECP, again, no problems

I've used them several times on three different cars. Never had any issues.
