I had the same problem on my previous car and as i intended replacing it i just removed the radiator and bypassed it and forgot about it.I then ran the car for a couple of more years before i got around to replacing it and never had any problems .My son now has the car and is still driving it with no fuel cooler and so far the tank hasent melted or had any other problems, I think it probably would just affect the fueling if very hot due to the less dense fuel.

no idea - i expect they are a complete assembly?.. is it defo coming from the valve and not the pipe on the valve? - just check..

may be worth PM'ing a trader or two on here about a good secondhand unit if it is..

the bracket on my dosing pump for the feh had rusted away and the pump had been dragging on the deck, which pulled the wires and a pipe off it.
As it was pretty knackered anyway, I just chucked it, and joined the two pipes with a length of fuel hose and crimped the ends with o clips.

It would be a bit of a 'P' take if you cant get the valve separately in my opinion but its definitely gone, fuel is leaking around the back outer edge where the bracket would normally cover it, looks like I will put on hold your bracket offer for the time being, On the plus side at least the weather is cold enough so I don't need the cooler,
I'm just hoping my local scrapyard still has the two diesels there as I will pop up there tomorrow & hope they are friendly enough to lift the car off the deck so I can get at it, Failing that I am at the mercy of another club member who hopefully will have one,,,,,cheers.

not sure if they are available new, I have seen a couple bypassed without any problems though, so you should be ok.

Freelander 1 fits if I remember right David Lawrence had the same problem, I am sure he used a FL1 & he also made a pattern for the bracket, hopefully he may respond

Right, I am on it at the moment, I cant drop the rad as the bolts are well seized in, Thought id just join what I thought was 2 pipes going to the valve only to discover there are 3 pipes (one with a fancy clip on end on it), So does anyone have a diagram of what pipe goes where as this is driving me nuts what with the plastic manifold/splitter thing with pipes going everywhere?, There is one pipe that has a yellow/green band on it if that means anything?.

This one may also help a bit.

The pipe colours are labelled in the first diagram.
