![]() Hi everyone, i am having a bit of trouble opening both rear doors on my car, a rover 75 SE classic 1.8, when i press my fob twice all the pins on the doors pop up no problem but i can only open the drivers door and the passenger door, the two rear doors just stay locked, now the car has been stood for a while and the chap i got it off said that he only ever used the front doors as it was a second car that never got used, could they just be jammed on the mechanism through non usage?, if there is anybody in my area who could have a look i would gladly give a small cash donation. Thanks. Neil

![]() I had the same problem only bought the car in November but the 2 back doors would only open from the inside. any type of lubricate would do, WD40 or 3 in 1 oil works, also spraded it with white grease, this has completly fixed the problem, just need to do that about once every 3 months. Also go the workshop manual and spares list from ebay, very usefull and cheap think it was about £7 delivered.

![]() If you can't get the doors open, where did you spray the WD40?

![]() The WD40 needs to go in the door lock mechanisim its self, so the door has to be open. Spraying the door handle wont work, I had to open the doors from the inside and then spray the look then.

![]() Child locks can be turned off if you pull the inner door seal away from the door. you can just see the small leaver, at about the same position as the door lock. A screwdriver will move the leaver up or down .
