Default stainless longlife exhaust for sale

I've bought an exhaust but it doesn't fit my car, it came off a 2004 diesel MGZT (estate). Based near Cardiff airport. Can I advertise this on the forum? I've never sold parts on here before sorry! If so, please pm me, if not please advise :-)

Is your car a saloon or tourer? If the latter then all you would need to make the ZT-T exhaust fit your car would be a ZT-T bumper trim.

Otherwise, yes no problem advertising it, is it the full system or just a backbox?

Default exhaust

I'm just going on what garage said, they said it's too long by several inches and the angled bit was slightly wrong, it would have been touching the car when hanging on the brackets!? The guy I bought it off said it would just need a sleeve (purchased one on ebay), and perhaps the tailpipe trimmed or the bumper trim added (cut out)!?

I'll get a photo when I go back to garage maybe on Saturday.

If there's a Longlife centre near you, give them a call. You might find that they will modify it for you for a small fee and ensure that it's correctly fitted.

Is it a twin-box system or just the one at the rear? Mine came with just the rear box but far too noisy. Now with an extra box in the middle it's still loud compared to a factory system but not as annoying as it was.

single box system, maybe be good to get it modified you think? I think there is a longlife in Caerphilly, which is not too far away from me.

Default tourer owners

Anyone with a 75/ZT tourer who would like this exhaust? I paid £85 for it, so if I can get anything near that price it would be good :-)

I'll get a photo when I go back to garage maybe on Saturday.
Done it other way around had a ss powerflow system from a saloon and i had to extend it by few inches to make it fit for a tourer.
Whats the problem for a garage to cut few inches out behind a back box and weld the trims back?? Shouldn't cost more than 20 quid to get it done

Apart from tailpipe, I had a look underneath and my exhaust drops down about mid point along the car (30 degrees joint ish), whereas this exhaust has a straight pipe all along. I have photos now if anyone needs them. I could just use the back box part and trim the remainder off, but seems a shame if it all fits a ztt? cheers.
