Default Naval 2 & Puddle lights have arrived

Thanks to Sean (Radioguy) & Jeff (Coolcat) my Naval 2 & Puddles have arrived

Have had a peep in the box at all the bits & I will study some more over the weekend.

I have WinCe unit which I fitted with backup from Sean & Jeff. Is the wiring going to be a lot different or will some of it be straight swop over ?
I also have a rear camera and dvb unit already fitted. This time I will be changing to Android dvb so hope thats an easy swop. I also have working steering controls, again hope for easy cable swop.
I have a DVR camera still to arrive, so would it be best to delay Naval 2 fitting until it arrives ?
Another question, does the Naval 2 need a remote control, or do I use the one from WinCe ? If not needed I will return the remote along with the WinCe Unit, DVB unit, and Sat Aerial.

The return address I have is:
Clacton Electronics Ltd
54-60, Meredith Road,
Clacton-On-Sea,
Essex CO15 3AG

Could you advise which Dongle is best for the WiFi.

I the meantime I will keep on reading the manufacturers manual, again & again & again

I have got the 'Puddles' up and running, thank you

Hi Alf,

Your front DVR camera is on its way and should arrive early part of next week Sir
The returns address you have is correct, please make sure you put a copy of your returns authorisation document in the box.

You should be able to use your existing gps antenna and just return the unused one.
The steering wheel controls depend on whether your car loom has the yellow/green/blue connector.
If it has then it is a straight plug and play.
If it hasn't then the car steering wheel wires (blue/orange and blue/purple) will have to be spliced to the wires on the double din that come from the top connector on the double din main loom.

The reversing camera you already have will work fine with the new head unit once connected.
The new Dvb receiver does not need to be hard wired into the car loom unlike your existing dvb receiver.
It draws it's power from its umbilical lead that goes into the head unit.
Depending on the aerial connector you may be able to use your existing tv aerial.

If you have a smart phono you can 'tether' your double din to that using portable hotspot feature on your phone.
If not Sean has compatible 3G dongles for the unit you can purchase from him.
The Navall2 does not come with a remote control and as far as I'm aware the WinCe one will not function it, although I've never tried!

Hope that helps Alf

Hi Jeff

Thanks for prompt reply as usual

I will return the Remote Control with the D/D and other bits.

I will study you answers carefully and I think I will Wait and do install when Dash Camera arrives.

Seems like a great unit, and thanks to you and Sean (Radioguy) for making it happen.

I'm sure I'll be back with more questions, but til then..............

Cheers
