Default Angel Of The North

Took this picture of the Angel Of The North on my weekend trip to Newcastle and Scotland for the Carter Bar Meet, just finished editing it up a little

Nice picture, but I don't see why the thing exists, or is it only me?

This information board was there which might help explain why it is there and why it was built

Thanks for that Jeff - thankfully where I live we don't need that sort of inspiration.

Interesting that their figures quote viewings of 33 million a year. This does not include repeat viewings which must be in a very high majority - written by a politician.

I stayed with an uncle in Durham some time back and he asked if we should visit this item, I declined.
