I think you should name your car 'Triggers Broom'.

In this classic scene, Trigger claims that he's had his road sweeper's broom for 20 years. But then he adds that the broom has had 17 new heads and 14 new handles.

"How can it be the same ****** broom then?" asks Sid the café owner. Trigger produces a picture of him and his broom and asks: "what more proof do you need?"

It's a bit like your car. By now I think you've replaced everything

Hello. Did you ever do anything with the old engine ECU?

We are currently trying to help another member with similar sounding problems. I can't get to him much (it's a 150 mile round trip) so it would be great to have a potentially faulty ECU to try to figure out.

I suspect one of the capacitors (we had a fault code and some strange readings on testbook) and am trying to source replacements, so it might even end up with us being able to repair dead ECUs.

Alternatively, anyone else got a Diesel ECU. Bearing in mind they can't be recoded to other cars so are not much use, would you donate it to 'the cause'?

I think I chucked it as it was totally U/S, along with all the other bits that proved to be fried. But I'll have a look this weekend - could still be in the plastic bag (Rubbish) in the corner of the shed..........

Edit.... the Bag is at my father's home so will check this weekend. I am aware of the problem and have been following the thread....... Hope it comes to a satisfactory conclusion
