Cool

Been hot today but I’ve been busy in the garage where it was cool. Picked up a bargain on the market place on Facebook. A brand new, still in it’s packaging,
4 shelf racking. Got it for £20 as well. The guy selling said it was not any good as there wasn’t any nuts and bolts to hold it together.

And he is right there are no nuts and bolts, ‘cos it just clips together. Result.
Garage is starting to look tidied.

Hi Steve - good to see you again!
Dementia is truly awful - I've experienced it at close quarters through my mother-in-law, my own mother and an aunt and uncle - as well a good friend's father. We tried to cope with m-in-law at homes, with the kids doubling up in one bedroom so their grannie could have use of one of theirs. We struggled for about 3 months, but in the end, had to admit that we couldn't cope and she had to go into a home where there were specialist staff to look after her. It was a heart rending decision - but the only one which was right for her.

Been hovering Rod. As well as the obvious stuff some of the things my neighbour is telling me are hellish. He has a hell of a job getting her to bed but when she wakes up, irrespective of what time it is, she thinks its morning and gets up even if she's only been in bed an hour. The other day he was trying to work in the shed he's been building but she kept calling to him, he'd stop what he was doing, go into the house only to be greeted with "I didn't call you"!

I had an uncle who had it bad, eventually he passed away. At the funeral I asked my cousin if he was OK, he replied that he was fine, he'd lost his father a long time ago.

It always worried me that one day I would go into the nursing home for my wife not to recognise me. I dreaded that day with all my heart.
So I For one know that this disease is frightening.

It's terrible & sad to watch someone deteriorate with dementia, We went through it with dad last year before he died, I went over everyday to help out with my other brothers & sister, at times he wouldn't know who I was and was crying a lot & other days when I went round he'd say R'reet Ian lad, You never knew which reception you'd get. Horrible disease.
