Good morning all, We had no thunderstorms here last night, the wind got up as if the storm was imminent but nowt.
It's muggy & overcast here with weather warnings for the thunderstorm/heavy rain this afternoon.
Brekkie time. I'm famished.

I love everything by Gerry Anderson & binge watch his TV shows regular.
I was watching old haulage videos on youtube yesterday of the company British road services in the late 50's & 60's mostly in Scotland. very good they are too.
How different times have changed.

Good to hear everything went well yesterday Phil. That must be a pain in the backside with that car being there so long, sounds dodgy that It's MOT'd and never turned a wheel in ages. Parking spaces in London must be in short supply to say the least.

I agree with Steve & tell the council there's an abondoned vehicle outside your residence.

Phil, you could put a note on the windscreen of that car politely asking the owner to move it so you can park outside your own property. If that fails then contact the council.

Here is something which is a bit of a mystery. A car has been parked outside of the house for over 12 months. None of neighbours own it and it's tyres have had it. Parking is free but we'd like our space back.

I doubt there is much you can do about it. It's taxed until 1 June 2018 and MOT until 22 April 2018. If there are no parking restrictions, nothing council can do.

Although not parking outside someone else's house is regarded as common courtesy unless the space is specifically marked on street parking is s free for all.

How would you feel Steve if it happened to you, a car parked almost on your doorstep for over a year and legally you can't do anything?

A locksmith has arrived to repair/replace our 2 front doors. Whilst we were out the back, the toilet overflowing from the upstairs loo pipe, flooded the water out into the road. The ball must have stuck. The BMW neighbour reported to the police that she thought I was dead in the house. Quite a watery mess etc
The police came and used a big ramming tool and smashed in both doors, the locks, the doors and frames have had it. I was going to put new locks on. Now met police will pay. I must thank the neighbour for her concern

Bleedin' Hell Phil,

That must have frightened the life out of you both

Didn't they try knocking/ringing the bell first to see if all was okay ?

Not what you need at this moment in time, fair play that they are sorting it out for you at least.
