It's becoming a very common issue (particularly on the rear) these days - we've just had to do the same on our 75 Tourer.
I did always wonder which issues would crop up as the cars really start to age; thankfully this is one for which repair panels are available and the area around the rot is usually solid. We're helping with a similar project for 45 / ZS owners at present, as repair panels aren't available and we're seeing a lot with severe corrosion in this area. The problem is it's quite a complicated Honda design - I've seen the sample panels and they're rather intricate!
