Unhappy Sad times! A goodbye to my first ZT!

Well after deciding about a month ago that we needed a much bigger family run around. Today, I sadly said goodbye today to my first ZT, BP04 CGG, or Emma as we knew her.

About two weeks ago, without officially putting her on sale, I was contacted out of the blue, asking for details of the car, as the gent had heard she was for sale and was extremely interested.

I was adamant that she would go to someone who would, love, care and cherish her, as I have. After a few days messaging each other, it became apparent he was not only a fan of the ZT, but was an avid enthusiast of all classic cars and really wanted to own another ZT diesel saloon.
So today, after booking the train down from Benfleet, Essex, I collected him from Plymouth station in Rodger (The 190) and we set off home.

Upon arrival, he set about having a good look around her. Then off we went for a test drive for about 30 mins. Suitably impressed, we went back home, where he had a further look around. We then set about the paperwork and payment After a shake of hands and promises for lots of future pics, he went on his way back to Essex a happy owner of BP04 CGG.

I must admit, I was very sad to see her go after 2 years of ownership, covering 36,000 miles. We have had our up's and down's and experienced a few sad days! But I have had some great experiences too! She has served me well and long may she continue to serve her new owner!

Some final pics.....
All shiney and ready for her new owner to arrive,

A fond farewell.....

I always get sad when I sell a car that I've really enjoyed, seems a bit silly really, after all they're only tin and rubber but, you do get attached them

Lucky guy who got your ZT, it looks beautiful

I was just going to say that rob! Whenever I've sold a car I really love, I always get back in the house sharpish so I don't see it being driven away. I usually look at the readies as that helps take my mind off it lol

Cool

I'll keep my eyes open for your ex-ZT. Benfleet is not far from me.

Now if you need a replacement how about a nice ZTT with loud exhausts and a massive V...............................................Oh ! Of course you already have a new car.

Hope to see you soon.

I didn't want to take that pic, but knew she was going to a good home, so it made things a little easier.

I see it this way Bob, I am increasing the no of cylinders, 2 at a time and experiencing the power increase gradually. Going from a diesel to a supercharged 260, would only result in brown stains on the drivers seat!

Hoping to see you again soon for a "loud pedal contest" in the Saltash tunnel. If you stay with Allen and Val this year and bring Pooky Bear, it has to be done!
I met an R8 Spyder coming the other way yesterday, I undertook the contest, but I think he may have just pipped me!

I know, that you know the feeling Matt. Must be torture! Plus you get to watch it drive away at a steady pace. Agony!
The 190 puts a smile on my face, every time I get above 3k rpm.
