My worry with such low mileage cars is the excessive wear caused by so much cold running and as we all know, amongst other things various seals go brittle and disintegrate.

It's got a few more miles than mine and in it's 20 year existance no gasket or seal has disintegrated. (YET)

We have just got a 1.8 club with 36,500 miles on it. It just having a new hg and taking the head apart the engine is full of carbon. What’s also there is a lot of oil residue and glazing. This is from nit having many oil changes. Some people don’t change it when the car hasn’t driven much. I bet this would be the same.

I think this could be a dealer lunch car. It’s a very low chassis number. It’s just over 3000. I know of two t reg ouch cars that are just under 3000. This is an interesting car as it’s a club with front fogs, headlight washers, heated cloth seats and rear sunblind.

I’m lead to believe by someone I the know that some big dealers had 3 cars the 2.5 v6, 1.8 like ours and then some got a 2.0 v6 aswell. This could be one of them. It’s a very early chassis number. A lot earlier than it should be for a W reg
