Default Note Martin Lewis advice

If you are going to get alternative quotes or challenge your existing provider the best time to do it is 21 days prior to renewal. The nearer you get to actual renewal date the firmer the stance that insurers take on prices because they know that you are running out of time thus forcing you to pay. Its worked for me over the past 2 years.

Both my Rover and the wife's Honda are covered by them . Premiums this year are £10 down on last year Last year she got a free dashcam in lieu of a reduction . They have also behaved well when she had to make a claim . They are actually a broker for other companies .

Just renewed insurance on Moonstone v6 auto with the Co op gone down by just over £100 this year. Very happy.

Just received my insurance renewal quote and although £10 up on last year it is, unbelievably, cheaper than the lowest price I found on various comparison sites this morning (albeit by a matter of pennies). Is this a sign that my particular insurer is finally beginning to move away from the practice of ripping off existing customers who just let policies auto-renew, or would that be wishful thinking on my part?
