Default Next Year MG7?

I had a Phone call tonight from MG Cars regarding if I still wanted the New TF or any other models.
I said I was only interested in the MG7 and the reply was this is due to be launched in UK next year.
My name has been put down for info on release and Test drives.
Brochures are also being dispatched for other new MG Cars due for release in UK next year.

If this comes about that will be great,
a replacement or new car to go with my current one.

I have to say that the MG7 is a good looking car, although it does need bigger wheel arches IMHO.

Also IMHO, it doesn't have the classic timeless look of the 75/ZT. It looks just like any other modern car i.e. nothing really special.

I'm not saying that I wouldn't buy one but it wouldn't really have the same attraction for me as a 75/ZT.

The MG7 is/was the NAC version of the ZT. http://www.autocar.co.uk/CarReviews/...G7-1.8/225361/

Be surprised if it sells well here as it's a 10 year old design. Hope I'm proved wrong!

Be interesting to see what diesel engine is used in it; I'm guessing there's a KV6 & K4 Turbo version planned for the UK. It needs an oil burner version too.

Quite correct, Tatts.

Its the MG6 that I was thinking of - and probably what JDC was referring to also.

Default MG7 in the UK?

IF - the MG7 arrives here next year at a sensible price, I know what my next motor will be - no contest.

While I would also love to buy another 75/ZT/MG7, I think its highly unlikely that a 10 year old model would be relaunched.

And even if it was, only enthusiasts would buy such an old design.

Dont forget, the prototypes where around in 1994!

IMO, i think it would work negatively for exsisting MG ZT owners if its launched here, but a parts network would be useful.

I agree Colin.

The only way that the MG7 would sell is if it were priced very competitively.

What. you wouldn't buy a new version of our car with updated SAT NAV, with more room in the rear, with the fabulous premium grill on the MG7L and with possibly updated more efficient engines.

Bring it on.... I'd be in the queue.

Stubs
