Default Fish and Chips Lincolnshire

Upton Fish and chip shop. My son in law wanted to go there.
Coal fired fryer, cooking in beef dripping, counter big enough for 2 people to stand at and we queued for an hour.
Small menu.
Very small illuminate sign up on the wall outside, if you blink you will drive right past it.

worth waiting for, yes, would I queue for so long again, no.

Open just 2 days a week.

As a one off, if you like fish and chips, go for it.

I recently discovered that our local chippy accepts payment via debit card so as I was passing a few days ago I decided on impulse to pop in. I ordered sausage and chips and I found myself in a surreal world when I heard, that'll be four pounds eighty please.

The local 'chippy' is no longer a cheap meal that's for sure

We went to a kebab place in Guildford recently. Excellent kebabs but the bill wasn't quite the same as the local kebab shops in Stowmarket or Ipswich.

There's a good pie 'n' mash shop in North Weald, Essex. Lovely grub but nearly a tenner for two pies & double mash though.
