Default re wing mirrors

yjey are not all the same ,there are the early and late version and both types have a different shaped back shell ,and one type has bolts to fit and the other has studs and nuts. As i found out last week when i got one off ebay to replace my broken one .........

You will find that mirrors fixed with 3 bolts are not all from mkII's, they are also fitted to MkI's. early mkI's such as bullets with the alloy mount have studs, late MkI's and MkII's have plastic mounts using tapping bolts. Not sure but I would guess it was the Drive project.

I am quite certain that the mirrors with the alloy mount are fitted with studs and nuts to the 2 lower points, and a bolt to the top one

WOW! this is a can of worms!

Not wanting to make my life difficult I might put some of this on the back burner so to speak, but will take a peep at that door switch..
