Asking for the exact details for a specific car is one thing, but that being essential for the remap to work, could well be another story. It could just be a deterrent to make people believe the remap is not transferable could it not??.

The plot thickens! This is the latest reply I've received from the seller.

"It is the same calibration as the XPower upgrade but it bypasses the code entry part. Each car's configuration is updated based on the existing unique spec of the car being upgraded."

Sounds to me like he's cracked it! Good Man! If the BMW dealer thing isn't a goer, I reckon we get 10 people involved, and try and get that price down to £125

I cannot think the BMW mapping would work. Although a BMW engine, the MG/Rover version is Common rail + a few other differences so you would in effect be loading a map for a very different engine? I stand to be corrected?

Perhaps it's worth talking to Ralph to get the specifics of what his customer did to get the remap.

Dropped into Vines BMW in Redhill - Helpful chaps (unlike Vines in Crawley) but they reckon that the connection on the ECU is totally different on the 320D than the R75.. Said I was the second chap in a month to ask if we could hook up the R75 to their equipment.. Anyway, it's a none starter, so how about a new thread with a list of people who want the Upgrade from the eBay chap..?

Wierd.

It's via the OBD connector and thats an industry standard. They must mean the protocols are different but I thought the R75 used the BMW kBUS and IBUS so was essentially the same.

Never mind. Worth a tryb
