Default Group Buy -CDT X-power Upgrade

I've been communicating with this guy on ebay who states he can do the official Rover X-power upgrade from 116 to 131 via T4.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...:X:RTQ:GB:1123

I have asked and he stated he would do a discount group buy for say 5 cars. Now he is currently advertising the upgrade for £250 but has an option to offer - now I hope we could could get it down to £200 per vehicle, this would save on the £199 plus vat plus T4 session that dealers charge, if all is as it seems who's interested?

I would be interested If I knew what the power of my engine was.

I have looked at all the info on here and other sites but the detail is not clear as mine is a *TH 03K which can either be a 75 tourer auto 116 or a 75 tourer auto 131.

If I knew definitively that mine was a 116 then I would go for the upgrade.

There should be a sticker on one of the door pillars - passenger side I think - that tells you what power the engine is.

According to the info I've got, the TH03K code makes it the 131 version. However, sometimes putting the details into an online car insurance quote form tells you whether it's 116 or 131. That's how I found out mine's a 116...

Different garages charge different rates for labour.

The upgrade in total takes about 20 minutes, so normally you would pay for 1/2 hours labour.

Mine came to £49 inc vat.

Hi Kandyman,

I understand that the sticker indicates that the Xpower upgrade has been completed some time after delivery. If what is being offered by the advertiser at the start of the thread then he should apply one of those stickers to each car that is retuned.

Even the insurance company does not know although they say it does not matter anyway as their is no difference in premium.

So still uncertain

I'd be interested if the discount was a bit more than £30 per vehicle..? It's such a shame this costs so much, I'd love to have it done, but wouldn't pay anywhere near the £229 that dealers want..

Hi Mark_Bonsai,

Where did you get the information regarding TH03K being 131?

PS sorry for hijacking the thread - but it may be relevant to others who would consider the uograde.
