Sat Nav
Just returned from France, sigh. While there we needed to travel 30 miles along unfamiliar country roads so a freind let us borrow his TomTom One GL - we were very impressed. SWMBO (and Financial Department) has always been dead against them but now she is sold. It is becoming increasingly difficult for me to see maps but especially in bright light so we need some advice.
We need a large screen and clear speech as well as street level maps of Europe. As well as the TomTom we have looked at products by Garmin, Navman and Sony who all have screens of 4.3 to 4.8 inches but we don't know much about the quality of the maps/directions. Any advice would be much appreciated. Malcolm |

I have used tom tom and Blaupunkt travel pilot and the tom tom wins hands down. The later tom toms are widescreen and models 510 and above can be used as a hands free kit via blue tooth

I have such a problem with your system Lightpainter, sitting in the rear seats watching DVD's whilst driving.

Look mate if you can’t manage to drive with one hand holding a phone, the other a sandwich, with a cup of coffee between your knees and steering with your elbows, you’ve no right to be on the road! Lol
