Ipod interface for VDO headunits
Came across this handy Ipod interface for VDO HU fitted to our cars:
http://www.vdodayton.com/default2_an...r_ip_2205.aspx Buy it here: http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/3201...0-adaptor.html The ID3 tags are displayed on the HU screen and the HU buttons control the Ipod - so I assume that the steering controls will also have Ipod control. I was going to change the HU for a USB/SD unit but this may be a better option. If only I had an Ipod....

Why does everybody do Ipod stuff? All I want is an interface for MP3 or USB for my Dayton...then I can plug in any old ru....er...mp3 player..

What I'm after is some kind of USB type adaptor that will send the ID3 tags to the HU. I've nothing against Ipods but a USB type device would obviously allow much more flexibility.
