For what it's worth Erik,
Having just ordered my IDA-X001, my supplier confirms that the Incartec 29-620 steering wheel interface WILL definitely work with the it so that's going to save me a little bit of wiring as the interface is already fitted They also confirmed that the bluetooth module KCE-300BT will also be fully compatible with my phone for handsfree. |

Bummer. Incartec is a total no-go in sweden but the shop around the corner can get Autoleads on a one-day notice. Do you know which kit it was that you tried? There seem to be a few that might be applicable: PC9-X04, X30, X39.

I did consider the bluetooth module but in Sweden you won't get shot on the spot for talking on the mobile while driving the car just yet. I do use a portable in-ear handsfree though.

I am extremely grateful for your offer and it will probably become necessary. My ICE itch is pretty bad though and I would like to scratch it next weekend if possible. The idea was to maybe find an autoleads or Alpine kit that you didn't try, buy it locally and try it out. If it works, fine, and if not I return it to the dealer and get the Incartec kit with your kind assistance.

We could get it to partially work but the controls did all sorts of odd things, certainly not what they SHOULD have been doing We spoke to Alpine on the phone but they were really not interested Erik. In fact, Alpine told us that Rover NEVER produced a 75 which had standard ISO head unit connections. So everybody with a Symphony HU in their 75 or ZT must be hallucinating To be frank, it was a nightmare However, the Incartec setup worked perfectly straight "out of the box". |

Hi guys. I was just wondering if either of you had the new Alpine in yet, and what your impressions were? I'm pretty happy with my current Alpine unit, but if ever I need to change it, it's the IDA-X001 I'll be considering.
And incidentally, I found the Incartec adaptor a nightmare. Gave up and used the Autoleads one, which worked great. Horses for courses I guess! |

Which Autoleads was that? My local supplier had an PC99-X30 on the shelf which I grabbed as I can always return it if it doesn't work.

The adaptor I used was a PC99-X39, but I got the impression there were several possibilities for R75/ZT, and mine was the one needed if you originally had the (awful) infra red Kenwood unit and ISO connectors.
Not sure if it'd be right for you I'm afraid. Incidentally, congratulations for having had the foresight to have been born in the country where snus was invented |

And thanks - I am quite proud of my heritage even though I am admittedly not a very frequent user of snus.
