Default MOT by Pete & Lates

A big thanks to Lates for organising yesterday's MOT (a pass!) and to Pete for actually doing it (not to mention sorting out the handbrake while he was at it).

That brand new Laguna in the showroom is a darned good deal Pete.

I hear a rumour that your car is a very clean tidy example and good news it went straight through with a little tweak.Take care and speak soon.

Hi guys. First post and not too sure re posting etty-quetty, so apologies for the 'hijacking' if out of order

I just wanted to add my thanks to Lates and Pete, who completed the 90k on my 2l yesterday in pretty good time (well under 3 hours before the paperwork  ). Nice gents and a pleasure to deal with.

Just to add Lates, she was very smooth all the way home

Thanks Lates. Yes 'VOOT' (named after it's registration number) is quite a nice one. I only bought it at the end of September with 24.3k on the clock.

Here are a few pics. Blue tint is the sky - paint is actually Zircon Silver. I think VOOT must be a girl - far too pretty to be a bloke.

NB. The roof-mounted tree is an optional extra. I found it in the Approved Accessories catalogue.

Nice looking Motor there Simon, I think she's lovely, and in one of the Best Shades of Silver!

Cheers John. The silver is only silver as long as there's no blue sky or green fields nearby - if there is, it becomes silver-blue or silver-green. All very confusing, I often wonder if I'm getting in the right car.

Actually I think I like the black & white pic the most. After all, the best feature films are in b&w (witness Schindler's List) so perhaps life would be better in b&w too.

Nice car indeed Simon and great pics

- I have some pics of my car in sepia tones. A bit different to b/w and quite nice

Default silver

Hi Simon
Just a question about the shade of silver used on your car.
Your 02 reg. car looks to be Longbridge built, shown by the silver sills.
If this is the case then I'm pretty sure the shade of silver paint used is
Starlight Silver and not Zircon Silver.
The reason for my question is that Zircon Silver was only used on 75's built at Cowley, pre. mid. year 2000 shown by cars having black sills.
This require's checking for reason of paint matching eg. touch up.
Thanks
Dave T

Don't Know if its relevent but Zircon Silver was still available in "MonoGram" & "Personalised" Colour schemes according to 2002 Catalogue but Starlight Silver was the Metalic Standard Silver Choice.
