Really? Well, I never knew that. I'll try it when I put the battery back on - just giving it a top-up as I don't do much mileage these days and I don't want to get caught out when we get all that snow that they've had in the States!

Me. I just turn mine off when it comes on. I suppose its a check light really to me. No problem at all. Don't like tinkering with electric's when there really is no need to.

Well I had to check... the press and hold doesn't work for me, so I would assume Alan123's has been modified in some way

It is a good mod, not one for me as it has never bothered me in the slightest, to be honest I don't even turn it off I just leave it.

Before anyone shouts at me that it will burn out, the car is 13 years old and has done 180,000 miles and it still works fine.
