Just bear in mind that the TV won't work, even I'd it's not faulty, as the analogue signal has been turned off and you'll need a Freeview box to make it work!

Hi Carla bad luck however not all is lost. After Jezzer has checked it all out. I have a full set of hi line kit removed working form my ZTT when I fitted a DD unit.

I have the head unit the white steering control box Sat nav Mk3 Radio Tuner TV tuner CD player and all brackets and discs as required for the ZTT.

Remember the Analogue has now been switched of in GB and you will require a free view tuner.

If you can afford it you would be better to replace the unit with a DD unit and keep all the kit away from the boot floor it also comes with blue tooth for your phone. Radio Guy on this forum often has refurbed unit available as folks upgrade.

To be fair, that's probably the way to go, depends on how original you want to keep the car!

To be honest Carla, that would be the way that I would go if it were my car, however, even I wouldn't want to try and fix one that's had water damage/been butchered!

I would see who the nearest "Expert" is on these systems and let them diagnose the faults on the system and either repair or replace the units!

As has been posted earlier, I would guess that the CD drive became water damaged and wouldn't shut down, creating flat batteries and then someone simply started pulling plugs out!

Most important however, is to find and stop the leak 1st!

I agree if you intend to use it as a show car keep it original however if you use it as your dailey drive the advantages of the modern equipment are far more important than originality in my book but each to his/her own.

Would have to agree with Rob and Mark.
Not only do you gain widescreen, Bluetooth phone connectivity and Dvd.
Your not putting any of it at risk by mounting it in the wheel well ( there's a reason they call it that)
