Default Interior door lock button sits proud?

The driver's interior door lock button sits proud when the door is locked.
It has done it since I have owned the car and is something that bugs me.
The car locks ok, but it looks like it isn't!

Is this an easy adjustment, anyone?
Many thanks.

From reading a post last week, it passes through a white plastic connector which prises apart, and should have three lines of thread showing out of the bottom.

Take the door card off and bend the door pin rod slightly?

Thanks guys.
I was thinking along the lines of bending the rod slightly.
Will take a look, if it ever stops raining

Bending the rod slightly is problematic, there are 2 bends in the rod, once you bend it a bit it gets out of alignment and could foul.
Also the rod is quite substantial and shouldn't bend in normal use.
Hopefully the white clip has slipped a bit

I would check first that the fir tree clip is holding the door card tight to the door. If not then this can make the button appear to stand proud. Also there are two rods connected to the lock. The rod with the white plastic clip connects to the exterior handle and the lock button rod clips directly to the lock. If I remember correctly it has a 90 degree bend at the end that clips into a green plastic clip on the lock assy.
(fir tree clip is clip closest to locking button)

Correct, clips into the lock via a green plastic clip, easy to break one of the three inner lugs. Press the bar out of the clip and "adjust" the bends in the bar accordingly, it will not take much adjustment

Take the door card off.....peel back the membrane cover and look at the rod sitting in the plastic clamp.
If its showing more thread at the bottom than the top, unclip it and move it so you have about 5mm showing at the bottom.
Once you have made sure the plastic clip is locked try opening the door from inside and outside.
Lock the car with your key or fob...unlock it and try the door opens again from inside, then outside.
If you over adjust the rod.....say leave just 2 mm of thread at the bottom.....your door will open easier and you think great......but once you lock it with the fob and unlock it...the door will be jammed...you won't be able to open from outside or within !!!
And ....if like me you have put everything back together...you have a nightmare to get the cards of with the doors shut.
Did this yesterday and I was not impressed.
Just check everything locks and unlocks and the doors still open BEFORE refitting the doorcards, and all will be fine.
To think I only wanted to pop some standard tweeters into the rear doors and thought I'd adjust mine as they seem to stick from time to time when opening.
My clips was pretty central on both...so debatable they had moved......
Mine have about 5 mm of thread now at the bottom and all seems fine.
Put the door cards back on earlier today....in the rain.....nice !!!

OP is asking about the pin showing proud at the top of the door when locked, not the other offending bar
