It's up to you Lee but I have serious doubts about this diagnosis. It's a wild guess isn't it. What positive evidence is there? It seems to be a case of 'we don't think it's the head gasket or the oil cooler so it must be a cracked block'. Hmmm.
But more importantly, the block is cast iron. Unless the coolant is plain water and froze, I can't think what could have happened to crack it. Simon

But it might be worth giving the Steel Seal a punt although we only get oil in the water, not vice versa, so not sure if it can seal when its on the lower pressure side of the leak. Mike |
