CDT Cat Heat Shield
Looks like mine's come loose......can they fall off? I want to wait until I'm back home at the weekend before sorting it out as I can get it on the ramps then.
TIA, Drew. |

They usually start by dropping at one end. First time fix is with penny washers, and then if it happens again a bit of flat bar with two holes drilled for the mounting bolts can act as a brace.

Ah...makes sense, I think mine's just dropped at the back by the looks of it.

The front heat shield cant fall off completely without removal of the exhaust from its front hangars. I recently had to fit them to my new car because they were missing, and i had to remove all 3 brace bars, drop the back box and the front box from their hangars, rest the pipe on the floor then slide the shields over at the back end then forwards until it got to the cat end.
