Hi Kristian.
Looks nice and clean under that bonnet, one thought from me would be reinstate the air intake as with it cut off like that the Maf will suffer in the long run if not sooner, I am sure you may have read about this already ? if not I am sure the T4 guys can give you more info

Cheers Steve,

When I first got the car I read that it was a worthwhile mod so I cut the intake back, however, reading further I realise that was a mistake as the MAF can be affected as you advise and replacing my cut one is on my to do list.

DONE: HAD A CRAZY IDEA THAT I HAD TO GET RID OF MY MG ZTT DUE TO NOT HAVING A DRIVE AND HAVING TO PARK ON A BUSY STREET WITH A VIEW TO GETTING ANOTHER ONE AT A LATER DATE WHEN I HAVE A DRIVE.

ENDED UP REALISING IT REALLY ISN'T PRACTICAL NOT HAVING A CAR TO GET AROUND AND I NOW OWN A VW EOS 3.2 V6 INDIVIDUAL (1 OF 20 REMAINING IN THE UK WITH THAT ENGINE AND TRIM COMBO) EVEN THOUGH I STILL LIVE ON A BUSY ROAD WITHOUT A DRIVE

Cool

Actually fitted a proper spare wheel and all the bits, not a can of foam

Just a quick question. What is the box that is fitted where the FBH is normally fitted, in front of the battery?

That looks like a relocated fan control PCB for the main engine fan

Did a long overdue service 10000 miles This is the first oil service I have done on this car myself. First time changing an oil filter insert too. The vacuum pump arrived yesterday, so the first time using this too Have to say, I like it! Hardest part, was refilling the oil from a 20 litre drum (recent clearance from ECP). I had to pour some into an empty oil container and use that, it had volume markings on the side, so it worked well .

Yesterday, got some illuminated visors from ColinNi (thanks Colin) as well as a few other bits and pieces that will be added in the coming months. The service was more important. When I start to add the other bits and pieces I will connect the vanity mirror lights up.

Finally tidied upper intercooler hose and added the lower one. Whilst I was at it, I thought I would try something. People say they get oil in the intercooler, and from I have read, it can even fill up a little. So, whilst I had the vacuum pump, I jacked the right hand rear corner up(to encourage any oil contained to flow to the bottom of the intercooler), and put the hose of the vacuum pump into the lower and upper hose necks (not too far, in case I damage the fins internally) to see if I could suck anything up. It did, but in my case, it was only something like a table spoon full lol. May be an idea for those whose intercoolers have oil. I doubled up on the ring clips just to be safe. When I had the upper one only on, there seemed to be a little separation at the join.

So after doing all this, does it go any faster? well, no not really, but I reckon the vanity mirrors add at least another 10mph to the top speed, not that I will get to find that out of course lol. But lets say 10 anyway Any more responsive? Well, it is an auto,so it is not the most responsive anyway, but I did think it seemed more 'perky' in the middle gears, but it could just be the placebo effect. Doesnt matter really, those vanity mirrors will add another 10 mph anyway
