Finally getting my MG ZT 190 back!
Hi all, after a reasonably long hiatus from the forum, well as in logging in and posting, I am pleased to report that I am finally getting my ZT 190 back.
There maybe some of you who may remember me posting about running a few bearings in the car a few weeks after purchasing it. This was due to me forgetting to top up the oil in the engine. Such a rookie mistake for a 50+ year old! A 1200 kilometre round trip with a trashing in the last two hours of travel put paid to my engine. I sent it to the MG Specialists in Auckland, and a long story short has my fully reconditioned engine back in the car. The cost has been horrific, to say the least. I have paid just over three times the current value of the car, to have the engine rebuilt. Not economic sense, but my long term plan originally was to keep the car for a very long time. I certainly will be now! Anyway, once I get the car back I will be installing the electric rear blind, that I have had for ages! Then enjoying some, hopefully trouble free driving, for sometime! Graeme
