Default 1.8 Auto connoisseur

I can reveal it now at last. Yes this is my barn find rover 75. It's a 1.8 auto, none turbo. A rare combination to have survived this long in Northern Ireland. And yes it's connoisseur specification. And at 168000 miles I'm sure it's had a head gasket or two!

Interesting car, first registered in February 2001, its obviously preproject drive but it feels very well put together even all these years on.

Parked up in a garage around April 2013 until a few months ago when I spied it in his yard only a few miles from my house. As like many projects never made it back on the road.

Well it's here with me now, and whilst I've other stuff to sort, this hopefully will be going for its first mot test after POL 2020.

Belts, water pump, coolant flush, fresh discs and pads along with very minor jobs should see if sorted. And maybe a ecu as it looks like it's had a soaking badly.
It will make for a nice back up car.

Finally got round to cleaning the car after it had sat in the shed I pulled it from after several years!

Hopefully I can MOT it, or someone can take it on the condition they do the same!

Scrubs up Nice

do you know why it was taken off the road ?

I'm sure it's not, However the sticker on the rear screen looks like a Honda Emblem (albeit a bit wider)

Yeah but I'd not discuss the owners personal on the forum

Saved from the crusher last year, tidied up and moved onto a new home.

With the new owner being super keen I expect to see it at local meets sooner than later.

You can't save them all personally but I definitely feel this one's gone to the right home now.

Sold with spares, new slam panel, fan, sparks, filters, gaskets and a owners manual I hope it gives him years of enjoyment.
