I spotted that on Barrow buy and sell last night. Looks a nice enough car, but the erratic signal he claims, might, to my mind suggest that he's boiled it, because I suspect when he says erratic signal, he's seen the gauge move from blue to red. If it's just running cold because of the thermostat, then it should be okay. However, I suspect it'll need belts, and so on, and might not be so cheap once they've been done. Good colour, and wheels combination.

As a matter of interest, do you have a link to the advert?

It's on Facebook only, as far as I know, Pab. I'll get you a link shortly, but Big Bird has posted all that there is.

Common causes of overheating on the KV6 are coolant leaks from thermostat housing/pipes and/or loss of slow speed radiator fan.

Bigbird; if you're seriously interested in this car, get the seller to activate the digital display of coolant temperature and go for a ride either as passenger or driver. Idling whilst stationary will be no good. Report back, and we'll be able to advise you on the likely problem and what's involved to fix it.

Hi, I'm new on here and I've bought it for less than he wanted.
I think I've got a hornets nest of problems lol the blower is cold can feel a bit of warmth on pipe going to matrix other is cold, also there is coolant in the v bank and most likely air blocks in system, plus no sign of oil in coolant. it also took a long time to fire up today.
I've bought it as a cheap banger to run around in and most likely will break if its uneconomical to fix. Otherwise it runs spot on.
Keith.
