Oh dear
We are flying to India shortly. I looked at the flight path, it crosses south east Iran then over Pakistan. I'm hoping Trump doesn't escalate the situation, hopefully saner minds will prevale.

Thank you, hopefully the worst that will happen is the flight path is diverted to avoid dangerous airspace.

Saner minds? We are talking Trump and the middle east here
There is no such thing as sanity with those two factors.

I wouldn't broadcast that you are flying long haul and using that nasty fossil fuels in this day an age.

I wouldn’t worry about the effect of emissions from a long haul flight. I wonder what the emission rating is for a tomahawk cruise missile? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

In all seriousness, I would be willing to bet these attacks by Iran are nothing more than sabre rattling to save face. And the Trump attack is little more than an election campaign tool (but not going to get into that!). Please dont worry about your flight, airlines if they do not cancel, will simply reroute. I hope you enjoy your holiday.

Thanks for the replies and well wishes. We will not cancel, if there is a problem, I would expect the airline to alter the flight path. My wife and I both love flying, we do a long haul at least once a year. After India we are flying onwards to NZ. Will be back for the spring here.
