Default lost car keys

just as we were going out the door on holiday I found a set of the wife's car keys on the side. I think I've put them somewhere safe.... but where?

fortunately she has a spare set but where on earth did I put the other set?

Getting fed up looking now

Inside the side, in a drawer. I once found my keys in the cutlery drawer after opening it to get a spoon to make a cup of coffee during a break from searching for them. If not that then maybe under a mat or inside an ornament, possibly somewhere near your point of exit at the time.

Don't forget to check in the clothes in the laundry basket, or now perhaps in the washing machine?

I did that a few years ago, opened the van one morning ,filled the water .tank and put them down somewhere. LuckilyI had spares. I found the original ones on the roof of the van about 3 weeks later, wedged behind the roof bars.

Reminds me of what happened a few years back with our diesel Conny.

One set of keys went “missing” and both me and the missus blamed each other.
Several months passed then one day I went into a jacket pocket (don’t know why) that I hadn’t worn for a considerable time and found the keys. Doh!

Not wanting to admit blame I informed the missus “I’ve found the missing keys” Oh ! Where she enquired, I found them lying down behind the stereo speaker in the corner. Liar she retorted. No really they were on the floor.
Your telling lies Jim as you found them in your black leather jacket....... because I put them there.

Oh! you can’t beat a woman, apparently she had found them in one of her hand bags and not wanting to accept blame she stuffed them into my jacket pocket. It was only a few days later that I found them.

That’s class 😆
I once cycled to the shop for sweets ,
Upon my return mommy asked me ,were was my bike? I had to run all the way back before it was stolen from outside the shop 🤡
The sweets and the running made me sic as a dog
But got a cool story from it 🤟

I lost both pairs of my glasses (on the same day) so was somewhat stuck. Popped into spec savers and they kindly ordered new ones ready in just 2 days. Heading out to pick them up I grabbed my coat and felt a lump inside the lining. Found a concealed pocket that I didn't know about with BOTH pairs of glasses in it. I then ha 4 pairs!

My missus is always misplacing her keys so I put one of these tracker key fobs on her keyring, you track it's proximity with a phone app. It's cheap as chips and works well within the range of the house. https://www.banggood.com/Digoo-DG-KF...r_warehouse=CN
