Good morning Bob

I am sorry to read you had a disturbed night.

I was discharged from hospital at 1 a.m today. A funny time but it was due to the discharge process taking 12 hours and the bill had to be verified and paid ....... That in itself, is enough to make anyone sick. I have to have an MRI in 2 weeks to check on the aneurysm. The CT scan said it had grown to 5.3cm. 5.5-5.8 is the criteria used for a repair with graft. The MRI will be more accurate. If it gets to the danger area, I will fly to the UK for the op as the skills for such a major procedure/op are not available here. Fortunately the insurance company picked up most of the cost of the stay in hospital, bar my excess. It’s great being out and back home on the mend, catching up

You take it easy feet up and relax for a few weeks.

We don’t appreciate how lucky we are over here, or when travelling in the EU, for the moment having access to free medical treatment. Have they given you a special diet ? That can help reduce an ulcer. Things like Avocado, honey, kale, broccoli and Sprouts. Stay off the milk though it’s not good for them. If they didn’t look on the tinterweb for NHS diets for ulcer patients.

Blimey - that was a cold one !!!
Went for the morning papers about 9.30am this morning and everything was white over with a really sharp frost - car windscreens, car bodies, grass, tarmac, even some of the house roofs had a good coating.
In what is probably a first for me - the central heating was on before 10.00am
