This was the damage on a set I bought recently.



New versus old



Replaced without stripping lens or cutting hole.



A few pics may help with repair ideas.

I'll see if I have a spare driver side xenon and we could maybe swap or loan you one and I'll repair yours before sending it back to you repaired.

They can be as fragile as can the standard lamps.

The orginal white 75 lamps ive never had issues but all the later ones with the blue wheels seem to give trouble.

You must have small hands to get inside and move about.

That's what I tried to adjust but it just turns and doesn't move the beam up or down

I would say you need to get the light off the car and investigate the reason why, it can sometimes be the coged wheels or it could be that it as come away from the adjuster inside.

below is a scrap light with the adjuster atttached to show how they fit into the light,

Interesting and timely thread. Got my car MOTed yesterday and it passed fine, but with a verbal advisory that one lamp was a little low. He tried to adjust but it wouldn't - I will have to investigate at the weekend.

Hello all tried to adjust again today but both cogs fell off and one went down the drain looks like Wullie is going to get a call for a swap lol
