Hi Bob. I am using a Grom so I have to make the head unit think it still has a 6 CD payer, I can load up to 99 tracks in each of the six folders, but up till now I have only loaded 20 per folder. It does work nicely though..
And, the Grom has two more plug holes, dunno what they are for though.. ... |

Can I ask did you just copy the files on to the card or did you sync the files to it. If the files are not digital rights free you may not have license to play them.
When ripping cds always turn off copy protect. Mine works best if the card is synced using media player to add files they are added in folders for each album. Richard |

Hi Keith
Class 10 would be the best one. I use the Sandisk ultra which performs very well.(Same as the picture that Dorset Bob has posted,4 posts up) regards, Marc

Have you tried formatting the card and then uploading the music files back on to it, just in case some of them got corrupted, or didn't get transferred in the intial upload, just a suggestion Regards, Marc

It is a few months now since I parted with my DD equipped ZT but there were a few subtleties with the way music is handled.
An album copies to windows as a folder within a folder, if you simply copy this over it does not work, you need to break out the folder from the outer folder and then it works fine. Sorry to be so vague it has been a while. The memory card: the class is not affecting things this is simply the rate of data exchange. What sometimes is a problem is the card itself claiming to be one capacity but only having a much reduced capacity. This occurs in two ways: a low capacity card fraudulently marked up as a superior capacity one, or, the card has damaged memory sectors thereby reducing its usable capacity. Both can often be found and unfortunately bought via Ebay. The DD unit itself has limited memory, both physical and number of files. I could never get past around 1000 files, even when converting CD's to the lowest memory use. So at around 20 tracks per CD expect around 44 albums, sometimes more due to the embedded artwork and each album folder itself. Less tracks will get you more albums per disc. My MG6 has a similar issue limited to 999 files and a 4MB stick holds this, so I have a series of them. I now have several high capacity USB sticks to compliment my high capacity micro sd cards I hope this helps rather than confuses
