Is there a need to patent this? I can’t see anyone else wanting to steal the design, by the time it’s rolled out there won’t be many KV6 engines left to fit them too!

Patents are rediculously expensive to complete and then to maintain on an annual basis. But they may cover ideas that could be applied more widely than in a KV6 manifold. I have my name on a European Patent (EP) which took an age to bring out, but covers rather more than the specific stuff we made when developing it.

Still watching with keen interest - hopefully an end to the supply woes.
Land Rover down to single digits from what I can gather, and the RRP bumped up a bit to match

So what happened with this then? Followed thread for long time and still live in hope but I feel the time has come to do something myself. If there really are test mule kits knocking about I'm very interested in purchasing one .

As far as I’m aware it’s finished. He’s just waiting to sell the whole project to someone like Xpart I think.

Well that's good news but I can't believe it's taken nearly 20 years to resolve this issue, I love my KV6 and this mod would be the icing on the cake for me. Thanks for info.

Problem I see is that if it isn’t made available soon, there’ll be no more KV6s left on the road to benefit from it
