Ok so managed to get it open and no trouble with the cables..all in place so don,t know what the problem was.any tips to stop it happening again? Thanks for your help folks!

do the mod to the splitter block for the cables.
Make sure the bonnet locks are always well lubricated.
Make sure the bolts holding the locks are not overtightened and start pinching the locks making them stiff

I can't get my bonnet undone!! I've pulled the cable and nothing

Default bonnet problem

If one side of the bonnet lifts a little it indicates that one of the two cables is not working. Wedge the bonnet open and use a suitable spanner (ratchet ring is great!) to undo the bonnet lock mechanism in the bonnet, not the slam panel. This may work!!
