The same thing has happened to my rear nearside door

I've just gone out to the car and now both rear doors won't open from the outside despite both buttons up

I think this is a common problem - I had it on my earlier 2001 car a few years back. I seem to recall I cured it by pulling the outside door handles out as far as they would go, and spraying WD40 onto the exposed part of the linkage between the handle and the door 'innards' (at the back of the handle) - this then works its way into whatever it is inside that has seized and stops the door from opening from the outside. I think this usually happens if the rear doors are not opened for some time - I try to make sure I open the rear doors and check the handles work every so often on my current 75, when I have not been using the back seat for a time.

I'm not promising this will fix it, but worth a go.
