Morning all, What a wild & wet night again, Lots of standing water from the overnight deluge. It's been like monsoon season for the last 48 hours, Still got some high winds of 40-48mph here & looking across the field I'm seeing more gaps in fencing that have been blown down than the last two storms did Feels a tad milder today too.

Morning all.
Windy here and going from clear blue sky to torrential downpours in a heartbeat. Here's our local Nuthatch, braving the weather: He's back again as I type this . Stay safe everyone. |

Great pic of the Nuthatch, A bird I have never seen in these parts. Bloomin' cheats & scammers! Just been going through the last months online banking comings & goings & there are four purchases neither of us know anything about totaling £264 More hassle & wasted time dealing with this with the bank.

During the recent wild winds the Blue T1ts brave enough to land on the feeders were getting a ride better than anything at Alton Towers. Couldn't take a pic as the rain was battering on the window.

Andy - just let the trainer know at the start that you are far more attentive with the eyes closed and the brain is working at its absolute best when accompanied by snoring like noises! Quote:
Steve - as a Risk Management Master certificate holder, I find your lack of enthusiasm for the subject puzzling.

I'm going back to the Late 80s when "risks" suddenly appeared everywhere. After the course I had nothing what so ever to do with risk assessments. At that time the rail industry (BR era) had a habit of putting you through courses that turned out to be irrelevant to what you were doing. Also the rail industry always made up their own training courses ending up with a certification that was worthless outside the industry.
The best example of irrelevance was being trained on the radio signalling system on the Scottish west highland line. The west highland line wasn't even in the area we covered Last edited by stevestrat; 21st February 2022 at 14:50.. |

A tale of two critters! I was watching this YT video about a snow leopard that was determined to keep hold of it's prey at any cost (What an absolute incredible thing to film ) & halfway through watching it a pigeon lands outside on the fence at the back of my chair in the conservatory, one of our cats (Simon) spies it & launches head first into the window to get at it Ninja cat.

The 40-48 mph wind has finally abated here & the sun has just come out Bit late in the day but never mind it all helps to dry this rain water, I can put the wheelie bin out for tomorrows collection now without it blowing away down the street
Salmon fillets with rice & peas for tea tonight
