Inspect the rear of the crankshaft pulley whilst it’s off and look for any cracks in the rubber and replace if any are found.

Slightly off topic, how long does the crankshaft pully usually last?

I replaced mine at 140.000 km, No idea if the one i replaced was original or not. Car is now at 174.000 km.

Well some don't last but the crank pulley on my car has done over 404k miles and is still working fine, and come to think of it, so are the timing chains (there are two ).

Yes, but that's only 650,000 kilometres Mike

Also good belts they would be a choice as well used them in the past in fact I have a couple in the shed.

One thing I haven't figured out is why the belt broke, the AC belt was changed 11 months ago and it already broke.

My crankshaft oil seal was always leaking, not a lot, a tiny bit, and also my power steering pump is leaking aswel

I'm guessing the oil leaking caused the belt to prematurely break? I don't think it was the power steering fluid because it doesn't leak anywhere near the ac belt.
