anyone else get stressed taking their car for an mot?
Does not matter how old or new it is, always seem to feel stressed

No, can honestly say I never do. Trustworthy garage helps, plus if there is something wrong I'd rather know and get it sorted.

I guess in part it is about finding a problem which could be serious but also about the car having to be taken off the road and then finding the time to fix it.

Being without a car is a nightmare when I need to use it

I always feel as stressed as when sitting exams at Skool. Feel reborn when I hear the words ok Dave it’s passed. Phew!

Yeah, me too. But it's not the test itself but rather getting the spares, we have to go back within a month which doesn't allow much time getting spares from UK. Especially when firms like Mr.Auto say they have got stock and then two weeks later notify you that they haven't, haven't used them since. Or Carparts4less who manage to damage things in their own warehouse and somehow blame DHL.

Still having a donor in the garden helps and I like to think that I keep the cars in reasonable order so never worry about tyres etc. Mainly, worry about things I can't check like emissions.
