Was considering it - but decided to book some holidays with the 'van instead - gives me something to look forward to in the dim, dark, cold days of Winter
You hear so much about new caravans having damp problems from the minute you take delivery - think I'll stick with my trusty old, dry as a bone, 1998 Bucanneer

My Van has the fixed Double bed, always fancied it,but was the biggest mistake I ever made when buying a van,the double dinette version at the end is the best layout for us,that is what I shall be getting next time

As regards age, I spent about 45 minutes in my Bucanneer with a professional quality damp meter and the highest reading I could get was 14 under the sink. As there'll only ever be the two of us in the 'van (grandkids are already died in the wool tent campers) I went for the end washroom layout, so we have full sized shower, wash basin and toilet area and stacks of wardrobe space.

My van is now coming up for 7 years old in September, having had it from new, like you Rod, the layout suits us better, it's 5 berth, the settees at the front make a huge double bed, 7 ft1 long by about 5"8 wide. Twin fixed bunks at the back same length, and a side dinette bunk the same length but although a single, it would easily sleep 2 toddlers. As with all caravans, you gain on one feature, you lose another, our loss is a fitted oven, and it only has a tiny shower room.
