Default Parts Getting Rarer - And Dearer

When I first bought my ZT just over a year ago and did the obligatory ebay searches, this seller was selling these exact same style of wheels, I'm certain, for £125 a set. They must be getting really rare now!:xmas-smiley-002:

I've been keeping an eye out for a set of 5 spokes. 2 sets have gone recently, 1 at £169 buy it now, and the other at £122 auction.
They must have become "very rare" in the last fortnight to be at that price:xmas-smiley-013:

It does now say last few sets.
Supply and demand I pressume.
Still quite cheap for 4 brand new Alloys.
Don't forget the 10% discount through XPart Shop for Members.

Yes, but three times more expensive than around a year ago? Isn't it normal practice for retailers to reduce the prices to get rid of the "last few" of anything?

Mind you, fair enough if he acquired more sets in the last few months at a higher cost to himself! That I can understand.

I wouldn't mind a set of these myself but I don't want to "downgrade" to 17" have to go the expense of a set of tyres too.

I bought the last set Les at SMC had in stock in September as I needed a spare set of wheels for winter tyres in Austria.
I paid 225 pounds for a set of 4, they were on E-bay at the time for 275 pounds but I got a discount for being a member of the club, and I just got another 1 from Les that popped up as a spare for 60 pounds.:xmas-smiley-013:

3disco - it might be worth posting a new thread in the "For Sale" forum if you wish to advertise the wheels you have for sale.
